CELEBRATE OUR SISTERHOOD
ZTA 2022 Convention

July 13 - 16, 2022

Grapevine, Texas

Get Excited for Convention!

We can’t wait to see you and celebrate our sisterhood at Zeta Tau Alpha’s Convention in Grapevine, Texas July 13-16! Keep reading to learn all about this biennial event, from what to pack, to health and safety precautions.

What is Convention?

Convention was first held in 1903 and continues to be held every other year. The voting members assemble at Convention to consider necessary revisions to the Constitution & Bylaws of Zeta Tau Alpha, elect members of National Council and transact other important business.

It’s also a ton of fun! In addition to carrying out official Fraternity business, Convention is a time for celebration, reunions and growing together as sisters. The event gives Zetas from around the country the opportunity to meet each other and see Zeta Tau Alpha on a national scale.

ZTA hasn’t held an in-person Convention since 2018 and we’re all ready to share this unique experience together again! Our Convention theme is “Steadfast & Strong,” and we have a fun week planned, filled with opportunities to celebrate our story and renew the bonds of sisterhood. You will find inspiration from presenters and one another while we conduct important Fraternity business, recognize and celebrate achievements, participate in ritual services and honor some special sisters.

Convention History

Who Attends?

Any ZTA alumna or collegian is invited to Convention, and we expect over 900 sisters will join us in Grapevine this summer!

All active alumnae chapters are invited to send an Official Delegate and an Alternate Delegate to represent their chapter. That’s in addition to collegiate chapter delegates, National Officers and board members, making it the largest gathering of Zetas anywhere.

With more than 200,000 living Zeta sisters around the world, attending Convention is a very unique opportunity and we hope you’re excited to experience it!

Be Prepared Before You Go!
Check out http://convention.zetataualpha.org to prepare.

If you aren't already, be sure to follow @ZTAfraternity on social media. We’ll post regular updates leading up to Convention. We’ll use #ZTAConvention so you can follow along that way as well.

What's Going to Happen?

The Convention agenda includes a mix of inspiring sessions, business meetings and meals.

Our days will definitely be full, but each activity will keep attendees engaged and having fun throughout the whole event! On Thursday evening, we’ll celebrate our Collegiate Crown Chapter winners, and on Friday, we’ll honor our Alumnae Crown Chapter winners and Honor Ring recipients. Following the Alumnae Crown Chapter dinner, we’ll have a sisterhood event you’ll never forget. You’ll also have free time on Saturday afternoon before our Recognition Banquet.

Travel Plans
Alumnae are responsible for their own transportation between the airport and hotel. If traveling on July 13 and July 17, you may opt to use the provided ground transportation. Additional information about transportation options between the airports (DFW and Love Field) and the Gaylord Texan will be shared with alumnae who requested it on their registration.

If you are a full-time attendee driving to Convention, you should arrive by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, in time for the opening session. A “come-and-go” lunch will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those who arrive in time.

Remember to travel in business casual clothing since you may not be able to check in and change prior to our first meeting.

What to Wear and Pack

If you’re already wondering what to wear, here’s a rundown of suggested attire. The page shares great examples of appropriate attire for each day. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s personal style in person again!

Tip: When you’re packing, be sure to leave extra room in your suitcase for the possible awards and honors you might bring home for your chapter, as well as any items you might purchase from Crown & Co.!

Health & Safety
ZTA wants to be sure we are taking the necessary precautions regarding and continued persistence of COVID-19. You will receive a direct email from CrowdPass, a HIPAA-compliant event clearance platform, with instructions on how to upload one of three options prior to arriving in Grapevine.
